The Door Lock Mortising Jig Kit is a woodworking fixture that helps you cut the lock pocket (mortise) in wooden doors quickly, straight, and accurately. You clamp the fixture on the edge of the door, set the guide, and use it with an electric drill and a suitable hole saw or bit to cut the lock groove in the correct position. The guide keeps the drill straight and in line, so the pocket comes out even and the lock sits flush, which means less chance of a crooked or loose lock fitting.

The aluminum alloy frame (gold finish) and steel guide rods make the jig solid, and the spring-loaded clamps with adjustable screws hold it firmly on the door. A bearing-guided center shaft with a hex end keeps the drilling movement smooth. The kit also includes a steel ruler for measuring and marking, a wood chisel for cleaning up the corners of the pocket, and quick-release accessories, all packed in a sturdy carry case with fitted spaces for each part.

Please note: An electric drill is not included. Use the correct hole saw or bit for the size of your lock, clamp the door firmly, and wear eye protection while drilling.
